  • I saw this bookstagram trend on the amazing @meezc I saw this bookstagram trend on the amazing @meezcarrie’s page and thought it looked fun. It’s an easy way to get to know the authors and readers I follow and for them to get to know me.

For my ‘fives’ I’ve chosen the following five themes:
📚Five books that highlight my reading style
🎨Five of my favorite hobbies
🍿Five of my favorite reading and writing snacks
🐼Five of my favorite animals (though you get a bonus with the emoji because I love pandas too!)
🎥Five of my favorite movies (you can learn a lot from a person’s favorite movies)

Do any of our favorites match? What are your fives? I’d love to learn more about you!

Distractions. Some of us struggle with them more t Distractions. Some of us struggle with them more than others.

Breaks can be good, especially when well-planned like movement breaks and getting outside breaks.

But they can turn into procrastination and excuses to make ourselves feel better about not doing what we’re supposed to be doing.

Some of my distractions are ways to help recharge my creativity. Some help me unwind and reset. And as long as I don’t let them sideline me indefinitely, without boundaries, they can help me be my most creative and productive.

When you need a break, what activities do you turn to?

Not all romance authors are cut from the same clot Not all romance authors are cut from the same cloth. Just like readers, we have favorites and not-so-favorites. Here's one of my not-so's that I've caught comments for from other romance lovers.

I'm not putting down those who love this book. I know they have their reasons, and they're valid. The book is a classic for a reason. It's just not a book that's for me.

What about you? Without being negative, dismissive, or rude, is there a book or trope or character type that everyone else seems to love but that you can't quite connect with? Isn't it great that there are authors for every reader type and readers for every author type?
