I'm so excited about the release of my newest book, Hope Even After.

Daisy and Luke's story isn't a fairy tale. It isn't rainbows and sunshine and puppies all the time. It's real and it's messy and it's navigating friendship and faith with an addiction in the mix.

I love the writing life. In addition to creating I love the writing life. In addition to creating faith-filled fiction with characters readers relate to and enjoy, there are several benefits that come with writing.

But there is a downside. Small, but currently noticeable.

If you're a writer, what's your favorite thing about the life? I know I haven't included all the good stuff.

God is so good! 8 years ago, on February 13th, my God is so good!
8 years ago, on February 13th, my first book, Faith released. Faith's Journey takes place in the rural Carbondale, Illinois area. It's a story of abandoned faith reclaimed.

In a few short weeks, on February 17th, my 13th book, Hope Even After, releases. The story returns readers to the Carbondale area, and there are even a few old faces waiting to greet them in this standalone novel of addiction, recovery, and hope.

While you wait for Daisy and Luke's story to release, take some time to enjoy Katie's story. The eBook is on sale now for 99¢ at Amazon.

We talk about a lot of things in church, but addic We talk about a lot of things in church, but addiction is rarely one of them, at least in my experience. And according to statistics, it should be discussed. Whether alcohol, drugs, pornography or gambling, addiction is impacting the lives of many sitting in the pews beside us.

It's my prayer that Daisy and Luke's fictional story in Hope Even After can offer encouragement and hope for those whose lives are impacted by addiction. And for those who aren't learning to live with the reality of addiction recovery, I pray Hope Even After brings understanding, compassion, and mercy into your discussions of and dealings with those whose lives have been changed by addiction.
