I love books with food in them. And while I don't I love books with food in them. And while I don't love to cook (baking is a different story), a well-written scene can make me want to try new recipes in the kitchen. Here are some of my favorites and why they inspired me.

As an author and avid reader, I receive a lot of w As an author and avid reader, I receive a lot of writing and bookish related Christmas gifts. One of my favorites (you notice I said one not THE) is the Lego Typewriter my son gifted me. Not only do I have a cool typewriter to display, I also got to put it together. Two in one!

With many author and avid reader friends, I buy a lot of books and bookish gifts for people. One of my favorites is gifting the authors and aspiring authors in my life quill pens that fit their style.

What about you? What is a favorite bookish/writing gift you've received? What about favorite ones you've given others?
